The Urban Environment and Geographic Information Systems Laboratory based on the evolution of the GIS Laboratory which was founded at 1989, is affiliated to the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences. The aims of the Laboratory include the promotion of scientific knowledge through the organisation of scientific conferences, the undertaking of research and applied projects, the support of the University’s educational requirements, the design and evaluation of training activities, as well as the consultative support for spatial decision-making procedures, according to the trends of new technologies.

The Urban Environment and Geographic Information Systems Laboratory is affiliated to the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.
